Trust & Security

Your data, protected and yours.

Here is where your information lives, how we protect it, and how you stay in control of it. Plain answers, no fine print.

Bank-level encryption. Payments secured by Stripe. We never sell your data.

Where your data is stored

Your account, your leases, your tenant records, and the files you upload live on our hosting servers, which run on Hostinger's managed infrastructure. We keep your data for one reason: to run the service you signed up for.

Payment card details are the exception. Those go straight to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

Encryption in transit and at rest

Every connection to LevelLandlord uses HTTPS with TLS, the same transport encryption banks and online stores rely on. Nothing you send travels in the clear.

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, so even we cannot read them. Card numbers never reach us, because Stripe handles them inside its own PCI-compliant systems. Your files and records sit behind server access controls and are only reachable through your signed-in account.

We never sell your data

We do not sell your data or your tenants' data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. We run no advertising or analytics trackers on the platform, and we set only the session cookie needed to keep you signed in.

The only outside companies that touch your data are the vendors that make the product work: Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Google for AI lease analysis and rent estimates, and our host for the servers. Each one is named in our Privacy Policy, with a link to its own policy.

How tenant PINs work and how they reset

Tenants sign in to Level Home, the tenant portal, with a private PIN they choose themselves. As the landlord, you never see or set a tenant's PIN. If someone enters the wrong PIN too many times, the account locks for a few minutes to stop guessing.

To reset a PIN, the tenant requests a six-digit code, which we send to the email address on file. Once they enter that code, they can set a new PIN. No PIN reset happens without access to that email.

Export your data and cancel anytime

Your records belong to you. You can export your rent and expense history to a CSV file from your dashboard whenever you want, ready for your accountant or your Schedule E.

There is no contract and no cancellation fee. To cancel, email admin@levellandlord.com, and your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for. After you cancel, we hold your data for 90 days in case you come back, then delete it on request. If you want it removed sooner, email us and we will take care of it.
